Performance Opportunities

Dance is a performing art and we believe that all dancers should be given the chance to share the joy of movement with others! Performing allows students to develop confidence and poise that will carry through to many aspects of their life! !

Dancers at Grace Academy are offered the opportunity to perform in front of an audience in a full scale, yearly production at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts! This production allows dancers to showcase all that they have learned in a full year of hard work, dedication, learning and fun! During this exciting week, all dancers come together to create a stunning production for audiences of all ages to enjoy. Being a part of the year end performance teaches the importance of team work, dedication, and hard work, all the while building self esteem and teaching about how a professional theatrical production comes together!

Younger dancers are also given the opportunity to showcase their work at Parent Observation Days in November . Older dancers are offered opportunities to perform solo work for classmates during regular class time, and are also given the opportunity to perform for examiners in ISTD classical ballet and modern theatre dance examinations.

Dancers who are looking for even more performing opportunities are able to join one of our 2 dance companies!

PURE GRACE! This exciting performing company is made up of dancers ages 9-17 and offers a wide range of dance styles. Our performing company members have a strong sense of commitment and demonstrate a real passion for performing dance. Participation in the company allows them to develop a sense of confidence, explore their creativity, and to enhance their ability to learn choreography quickly and adapt to different performing environments.

THE SPIRIT MOVES CHRISTIAN DANCE COMPANY - dancers ages 7 and up come together to use their ballet and modern training to learn a repertoire of worship dances that are performed at various churches throughout the community. A separate spring evening of dance is held as a fundraiser for a local community charity.
